JEE Apex to Conduct JEE Main 2024: The Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, Government of India has announced major changes in the structure and administration of the JEE Main examination 2024 for admission in undergraduate engineering courses in IITs, NITs, and major Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).

These changes have been outlined in the recent notice for the JEE Main examination 2024 and are set to take effect for the year 2025 as well.

In the official notice, the key change is done in the role of the National Testing Agency (NTA), that the NTA will provide administrative and logistic support for conducting the JEE Main examination and the JAB will have the final authorities to set up the rules, policies, and regulations for conducting the entrance exam.

As per the official notification released, the National Testing Agency will manage technological support while C-DAC will focus on back-end activities, including pre and post-examination women and submission of applications.

The notice clarifies that the JEE Apex Board (JAB) will have a permanent secretariat, which will be provided by the NTA. 

Additionally, the JEE interface group consists of 5 five members from NTA, IITs, and other senior members from the Indian Statistical Institutes (ISI) nominated by the JAB. These secretariats will handle various administrative functions like finance, court cases, and RTI matters.

It is important to note that the JAB of NT system (JAB-IT) will continue to take responsibility for the JEE Advance examinations. Furthermore, the NIC and the C-DAC will provide essential technological-related support and will handle back-hand activities, including the online submission of the application forms.

The revised administrative framework of the JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations aims to ensure to establish transparency maintained by the IIT system in the JEE examination process.

However, the authority will shortly begin the JEE Main 2024 session registration process and release the information bulletin containing all the details regarding the JEE Main session 2024 examination, as the NTA calendar has announced the JEE Main 2024 exam date for sessions 1 and 2.

According to the NTA exam calendar for 2024, the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam will take place between January 24 and February 1, 2024, and the session 2 exam between April 1 and April 15, 2024.
