CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 Registration Ends Today: The Central Board of Secondary Education begins the registration date for the single girl child scholarship scheme 2023. Today 31st October 2023 is the last date to register.

For the CBSE single girl child scholarship 2023, initiative an official notice regarding the registration has been released on the official website at cbse.gov.in 

The CBSE single girl child scholarship’s registration process started on 19 September 2023. The last day to submit the online application for the scholarship was 18 October 2023 but as per CBSE’s latest notice, the submission date has been extended to 31 October 2023.

The verification for the CBSE 2023 single girl child scholarship scheme online application will take place on 7 November 2023.

Students who are their parents’ single girl child, have obtained 60% or more in their class 10 examination, and wish to continue their schooling are eligible to register themself for the CBSE 2023 merit scholarship scheme. 

“As per the approval of the Competent Authority dated 23.07.2012, all children born together are Single Girl Children of their parents”, reads the official notification.

The amount of the scholarship is fixed at a rate of Rupees 500/- per month. The duration of the scholarship is limited to a maximum of two years. The scholarship will be provided through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) or Electronic Clearance Service (ECS).

If a candidate’s scholarship gets canceled by the officials or by any other medium the scholarship will not be renewed by any means.

The school at which each applicant is enrolled must verify them. Applications for the CBSE single girl child scholarship programme will be denied if the student’s identity is not confirmed by the school.

As per the notification brochure posted by the CBSE board, it is mentioned that “NRI applicants of the board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided at a maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month”.
