CDS 1 2024 Notification Official PDF Out: The Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the UPSC CDS 1 2024 examination on 20 December 2023 on its official website at upsc.gov.in

The CDS 1 2024 notification consists of all the details regarding the examination including the education qualification, required document list, age limit, exam pattern and attempt limit, etc.

The CDS examination is conducted for the recruitment of commissioned officers in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy.

As per the official notification, the registration process for the CDS 1 examination 2024 has also started today. Interested candidates can register themselves for the examination on the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in

Candidates who are applying for the CDS 1 examination 2024 are required to go through the notification PDF for the same to avoid the application form rejection.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants have to be single and must be a citizen of India or, Nepal to become eligible for the CDS 1 exam 2024.
• To become eligible for the CDS 1 exam 2024 the age of the candidates applying for INA is 19 to 22 years, for IAF is 20 to 24 years, and for IMA is 19 to 24 years.
• For I.M.A. and OTA, candidates are required to have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Candidates applying for INA are required to have a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university.
• In the Air Force Academy, candidates need a degree from a recognized university (with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level) or a bachelor of engineering to become eligible for the CDS 1 examination 2024.

Application Process

• First, the candidates need to register themselves as a new candidate and require to generate a one-time password.
• Then sign up using the one-time password and fill out the CDS 1 application form 2024. Afterward, the candidates are required to upload the documents required in the CDS 1 application form.
• Then, proceed with the online fee payment for the CDS 1, 2024 application. The application fee for the CDS 1 examination 2024 is Rs 200 for general & OBC candidates while the female candidates and the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD are exempted from paying the application fee for the same.

Exam Pattern

• CDS 1 2024 exam pattern for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Navy Academy, and Air Force Academy is divided into 3 sections, whereas the Officers’ Training Academy exam is divided into 2 sections – each comprising a total of 100 questions.
• Each question carries 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd of the total mark for each wrong answer.
• 2 hours are provided to the candidates to attempt every section of the CDS 1, 2024 examination.
