ICSE & ISC 2024 Latest Updates: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) released a notice on 7 December 2023 mentioning to introduction of the ICSE & ISC 2024 exam candidates with re-evaluation of answer scripts and discontinuation of compartment exams from 2024 onwards.

The decision for re-evaluation of answer scripts and discontinuation of compartment exams from 2024 onwards was taken by the Executive Committee at a meeting held on 7 December 2023.
“There will be a change in the procedure of inquiries concerning examination results from the Examination Year 2024 onwards” reads the notice.
The authority has mentioned in the notice that the compartmental exam for ICSE & ISC board from the 2024 session will be discontinued.

The candidates will have an equivalent exam an “Improvement Exam” in place of a compartmental exam. The students will be able to pick a maximum of two subjects for the improvement exam.
The school authority will be responsible for the registration of students for improvement exams in June/July. The registration fee for improvement exams per subject is 500/-.
Also, the re-evaluation of answer scripts in addition to the already existing recheck of answer scripts will be done after the declaration of the results. It is to be noted that applicants who request re-evaluation must do it within four days after the result is declared.
Authority said, that the result for all the recheck requests for the answer scripts will be posted three weeks after the board result is declared. For each re-evaluation candidates will have to pay a non-refundable amount of 1500/- per subject.
Candidates who are not satisfied with the recheck results of the subjects for which they had applied, will be permitted to apply for re-evaluation of their answer scripts of those subjects only.
