Dehli Schools Winter Vacation Extended Order Withdrawn: The Government of the National Captial Territory Of Delhi has released the withdrawn notice on the Dehli Schools winter vacation extended till 10 January 2024.

Yesterday on 6 Jan 2024, the Directorate Of Education, Delhi announced the circular stating the extension of the winter vacation till 10 January 2024 for all the schools in Delhi.

However, as per the media reports, a few hours later they issued a withdrawal notice clarifying that the earlier order was “mistakenly” issued.

“In response to the extreme cold waves and yellow alert issued by the IMD, the Delhi government extended the winter break until 10 January 2024 for all government-aided and unaided recognised private schools in the National Capital Territory (NCT)”, reads the previous notice.

The updated notice stating, “Order No.DE.23(3)/Sch.Br./2024/18 dated: January 6, 2024, regarding the extension of Winter Vacation, stands withdrawn with immediate effect. Further orders in this regard may be issued in due course”.

The winter vacation for schools in Delhi was previously scheduled to end on 6th January 2024. So the classes are expected to start from Monday 8th January 2024.
