JEE Main 2024: NTA to implement Biometric Attendance & Security Checks after Toilet Breaks

JEE Main Examination 2024 Updates: The candidates will be required to go under biometric or frisking attendance after every toilet break in the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE) 2024. 

The rule to undergo biometric attendance will also be applicable to the staff, examination observers, invigilators, officials, and other individuals providing refreshments during the examination. 

A biometric or frisking is a procedure where an individual has to go through a security check for their outer clothing to avoid any kind of prohibited material or devices in the exam hall. 

The current screening test includes entry checks and biometric attendance. These measures are put forward to ensure a fair examination with zero incidents. 

NTA’s Director’s Official Statement Towards Frisking Attendance 

“This is aimed to ensure there are no means of unfair practices and proxy attendance. We have already set strict mechanisms although this idea is to make the exam completely fair without any incidents happening during the conduct of examination” Subhodh Kumar Singh, NTA’s director stated to the PTI news agency. 

The authority also added that this measure to undergo biometric attendance will also be seen in the other examinations scheduled in the future. 

As per the NTA’s director, Subhod Kumar Singh, this decision has been made to prevent unfair practices and proxy attendance in the JEE Main 2024 exam.
