NEET UG 2024 Eligibility Criteria Revised: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice regarding through online mode for the NEET UG 2024 eligibility criteria on Wednesday, 22 Nov 2023.

The notice has been issued on the official website of NMC at nmc.org.in, which states that the students who completed their class 12 and pursue additional courses in physics, chemistry, biotechnology/biology, and English are eligible to appear for the NEET UG 2024 entrance examination.

The commission stated that the decision is taken according to the New Education Policy, which allows flexibility in topics to study in Class 12.

NMC Official Notice For NEET UG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The official notice of NMC stated that previously, the study of biology, biotechnology, or any other required subject as an additional subject after completing Class 12th was not permitted to apply for the NEET UG exam.

However, the new rule of the NMC will also apply to those candidates whose applications for eligibility certificates for the NEET UG 2024 examination were previously denied by the commission.

Due to the statutory regulations, the eligibility requirement for taking admission in an undergraduate medical course in a foreign medical institution regulations, 2002 & the screening test regulation, 2002,  had a consequential bearing on the candidates seeking admission in graduate / primary medical courses in foreign medical institutes added the public notice of NMC.

NMC also stated that the public notice regarding the eligibility criteria for the NEET UG 2024 examination is approved by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB).
