NTA revises JEE Main 2024 session 2 dates, After clash with CBSE Board exams

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Dates Changed: The National Testing Agency (NTA), has revised the JEE Main 2024 session 2 examination dates because of a schedule clash with the CBSE 2024 board examinations.

The NTA has released the JEE Main 2024 dates in September 2023, stating that the JEE Main 2024 examination will be conducted in January 2024 for session 1 and in April 2024 for session 2.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also announced the exam dates for the class 10, and 12 session 2024 board exams in December 2024.

Later, it was observed that the exam dates of JEE Main 2024 session 2 examinations are clashing with the CBSE board 2024 class 12 examination, the NTA has rescheduled the JEE Main 2024 session 2 examination.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Revised Dates

As per the NTA 2024 exam schedule, the JEE Main 2024 session 2 examination was previously scheduled to be held from 1 April 2024 to 15 April 2024, whereas, the CBSE 2024 class 12 board exam for informatics practice, IT, and computer science is scheduled on 2 April 2024.

After discovering a clash between the class 12 board exam date and the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam dates, the Director General of NTA, Mr. Subodh Singh said that the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam which was previously scheduled to commence from 1 April 2024 will now be conducted after 3 April 2024. 

Previously, the CBSE board exam date 2024, was also changed by the authority for certain subjects, otherwise, the datesheet which was previously released by the board is still the same.
