The school activities from class 9 onwards, statewide, will be conducted after 9:00 a.m. and must be concluded before 3:30 p.m.
Why are Winter Holidays in Patna Extended?
As the state experience extreme cold wave and low temperature in January 2024, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh district magistrate of Patna, has decided to continue the school winter breaks till 20 January 2024.
Considering the health and safety of the students, the government has extended the winter holidays of the students up to class 8 in Patna.
Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh mentioned in the notice, “educational activities of class 9 and above will be banned before 09.00 am and after 03.30 pm”.
Further adding he said, “Operation of special classes with adequate precautions for mission efficiency and board exams will remain free from this”.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister of Punjab, Harjot Singh Bains, has also declared the schools to remain closed till 21 January 2024 due to extreme cold and morning fog experienced in the state.
