The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 27 March 2024 has released a notice regarding the list of names of disaffiliated and downgraded schools.

To check the list of released on the CBSE official website www.cbse.gov.in candidates are just required to visit the “LATEST @ CBSE” section and under that click on the “Press Release: regarding the list of disaffiliated and downgraded school” link.

CBSE list indicates that five schools have been disaffiliated in Delhi, three in Uttar Pradesh, and two each in Kerala, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. Additionally, one school each has been disaffiliated in Jammu and Kashmir, Dehradun, Assam, and Madhya Pradesh.
Furthermore, schools with downgraded affiliations are located in Delhi, Punjab, and Assam.
As per the official notice, a surprise inspection was conducted in CBSE schools nationwide to verify if the schools are operating following the regulations and guidelines outlined in the Affiliation and Examination Bye-laws. The inspection revealed that certain schools were engaging in various malpractices, such as presenting fake students, ineligible candidates, and improper record-keeping. It has been decided to downgrade and disaffiliate these schools following a thorough investigation.”
