Primary School Teacher Poised For Sexually Abusing Girls: The Punjab police have booked a primary school teacher in the Amritsar district for allegedly sexually abusing minor girls during classes.

The officials mentioned that all three girls were around 10 years of age studying in a school located in the Majitha village area of Amritsar.

Police stated, that the mothers of the three victims grew suspicious when the girls refused to go to the school all of a sudden, and as asked they conveyed how the whole incident happened.

As soon as the parents reported the incident to the school head the accused was suspended immediately, he took off and is still unfound.

The victim’s family mentioned to the school head that the teacher often asked the girls to touch his private parts after putting a notebook on his lap during his periods.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Majitha police station stated that the FIR was reported on 3 January 2024, Wednesday.

The accused teachers have been charged under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to women with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354A (sexual harassment) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).

All the actions were charged as per the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, said SHO Amolak Singh.
