JEE Aspirant Dies By Suicide In Kota: On Friday morning, a tragic and sad news spread over the internet stating that a 16-year-old student died by suicide in India’s coaching hub Kota, Rajasthan.

Looking at the reports, the deceased was a boy and a native of Bihar’s Bhagalpur district and had been living in Kota for the last 1 year. The deceased was preparing for India’s toughest examination JEE Main in the city.

On Thursday night, the boy consumed a poisonous substance celphose in his PG room in the Vigyan Nagar area in Kota, Rajasthan.

The landlord found his body on Friday morning after smelling something bad coming from the boy’s room. When the boy did not respond to the landlord’s calls, the door was forced open and the body was discovered.

What Do The Officials Stated?

When the landlord found the body of the boy lying unconscious on the floor, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Later, the police were also informed regarding the case.

Kota Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharamveer Singh stated, “A two-line suicide note that read, ‘Sorry Papa,’ mere se JEE nahi ho payega. I quit. (sorry papa, but I’m not going to be able to pass JEE) was found in the room of the deceased boy.

Further, the police said that the teenager consumed a toxic chemical that emitted a strong smell, which was noticed by the landlord. He added that along with the suicide note, an unused bottle of the celphose substance was found next to the deceased.

Singh also stated that the father of the deceased was a businessman in West Bengal and the mother and younger brother of the boy lives in Bihar.

The boy was supposed to take the JEE Main 2024 exam on 29 Jan and 19 Feb this year but has skipped both tests. However, the parents of the deceased were informed and the body of the boy has been kept in the mortuary added the police report.
