Kashmir School Timings Changed From 12 April, DSEK Made Announcement

Kashmir School Timing Changed: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on 8 April 2024 announced that there is a change in the school timing for the Kasmir division schools from 12 April 2024 as there is an improvement in the climate.

The authority stated that the schools in Kashmir will observe the Eid holidays on 10 April or 11 April 2024, so the new timings for the schools will be followed from 12 April 2024.

The authority has scheduled the timings of all the schools in the Kashmir division 30 minutes earlier than the previous timings as the weather has improved across the valley with day temperatures hovering above 22 degrees in Srinagar and 24 degrees in the northern district of Kupwara.

Kashmir Schools New Timings

Earlier, the government and private schools in Kashmir were operated from 10 AM to 3 PM in Srinagar district and from 10.30 AM to 3.30 PM outside the Srinagar district but now the timings have been revised by the authority.

The board has stated that schools falling under Srinagar municipal will run from 9 AM to 3 PM whereas the timing for the schools outside the Srinagar municipal limits and other districts of Kashmir division shall be from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The authority has ordered that “All concerned institutions must strictly follow the stated order and instructions, and any departure in this regard will be taken seriously.”
