West Bengal 2024 Summer Vacations Dates Out: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on April 1st, 2024, released an official notice regarding the dates of the school’s summer vacations 2024 and the holidays in the state due to Lok Sabha elections.

The WBBSE released the official notice for the school holidays 2024 on its official website @wbbse.wb.gov.in in a PDF format.

The official notice of WBBSE reads that all the schools in the state will observe summer holidays of 22 days excluding Sundays and public holidays from May 6, 2024, to June 2, 2024.

WBBSE’s Official Notice Details

As per the board’s official notice, due to the Lok Sabha elections for different phases, some districts of West Bengal will observe a full-day school holiday in 2024.

From 16 April 2024 to 20 April 2024, the schools in Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, and Jalpaiguri will remain closed for 5 days as the elections for phase 1 are scheduled to be held on 19 April 2024.

Followed by the Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Uttar Dinajpur, and Dakshin Dinajpur schools will observe holidays from 24 April 2024, to 27 April 2024, due to Lok Sabha phase 2 elections on 26 April 2024.

However, the schools in many states of India will observe holidays in April 2024, due to some local festivals.
