Schools In Noida Ordered To Suspend Classes Till 10 Nov 2023 Due To Pollution

Noida Schools Closed Till 10 Nov: The District Magistrate of Gautambuddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, shared a notice on his official Twitter account that all the schools under this area will suspend the physical classes due to the rise in pollution in Delhi NCR till 10 Nov 2023.

It is to be noted that Delhi’s air quality index dropped into the “severe” category (400+ AQI) before the Diwali celebrations. In addition, the administrations of Gurugram and Faridabad also ordered the closure of schools for nursery to class 5th. 

For the past week, the Air Quality Index (AQI)  in Faridabad has been rated as “extremely dangerous”. On Monday 6 November 2023, it exceeded 412, so the schools have been ordered to hold their classes online.

“Because of the poor air quality, all schools of the District Gautam Budha Nagar are directed to follow the implementation of the Graded Responses Action Plan Stage 4 order by discontinuing physical classes from pre-school to class 9th up to 10 November 2023 and conduct lessons in online mode,” said the DM of Gautam Budha Nagar district.

As per the Central Pollution Control Board today’s data, the average AQI in Noida was above 300 till 3 PM, and Greater Noida was 447 which is considered very poor.
