Andhra Pradesh Engineering Student Died In Hostel Room, Investigation Underway

Engineering Student Commits Suicide In Andhra Pradesh: A second-year engineering student of Luckyreddy Balireddy Engineering College in Andhra’s NTR district allegedly hanged herself in the hostel room on Saturday 27 Jan 2024.

After the news broke out the college authorities immediately announced the holiday and informed the parents and relatives of the deceased.

Discussions were held between the college management, police and the deceased’s parents after they rushed to the college. Parents were shocked and questioned the reason behind the student taking this huge step.

As per News 18, the deceased was identified as Roshini and was a student of electronics and communication engineering (ECE) at the college. She was from Muppalla village in Chanderlapadu Mandal.

Police Statement On The Incident

The investigation is taken care of by Kishore Babu inspector of police in Andhra Pradesh. “The girl had taken her own life within the college hostel premises by hanging herself inside her own room,” Kishore Babu told the news reporters.

“The student’s body was transported to Mylavaram Government Hospital for post-mortem,” Kishore Babu added.

Investigation is ongoing, we hope soon the reason will come to light behind the mishaps. Students are suggested to take care of their mental health and approach any counsellor and parents during tough times.
