Tamil Nadu Schools Half-Yearly Exams 2023 Postponed Due To Cyclone, Check Revised Dates

Tamil Nadu Half-Yearly Exam 2023 Postponed: The Tamil Nadu school education department has decided to postpone the half-yearly exam 2023 that was scheduled to be conducted on 7 December 2023, Thursday due to cyclone Michaung. 

The authority has decided to postpone the examination in the Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, and Chengalpattu districts of Tamil Nadu. 

As per the reports, the four Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Chengalpattu districts are the most affected areas due to the cyclone Michaung. 

The notice reads, that the arrangement made by the authority will help teachers and school associations to prepare the school’s half-yearly exam question paper. 

Tamil Nadu Schools Half-Yearly Exam 2023 Revised Dates

The school education department announced on 6 December 2023, Wednesday, “The half-yearly exams will be conducted from 11 December 2023”. 

The officials also mentioned that the half-yearly exam 2023 for the schools in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, and Chengalpattu districts of Tamil Nadu that were scheduled to be conducted on 7 and 8 December 2023 will now conducted on 14 and 20 December 2023. 

Therefore, the Language exam that was to be conducted on 7 December 2023 will now be conducted on 14 December 2023 and the English exam scheduled for 8 December 2023 will now be taken on 20 December 2023 respectively. 

The four mentioned districts of Tamil Nadu are facing a deep depression phase due to heavy rainfall and cyclone Michaung. 

The state is facing many problems due to the cyclone. Water logging, traffic, and congestion are some common problems due to which many schools have been shut keeping in mind the safety of the students.
