Yogi announced that the Prime Minister School for Rising India (PM-SHRI) School Scheme is a vital aspect of the initiative to advance the vision of a ‘New India’. In the first phase of PM-SHRI, a total of 928 schools which is offering classes from grades 1 to 12 will be upgraded at a budget of ₹404 crore.

According to the education minister, over 1000 schools have been upgraded and renovated under the PM-SHRI scheme.

Pradhan praised the efforts of CM Yogi Adityanath in implementing the National Education Policy in the state of Uttar Pradesh over the past three years.

Pradhan also talked about the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative and emphasized the importance of Uttar Pradesh, which contributes nearly 20% of the country’s 26 crore students, in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

He highlighted the success of students from UP’s Navodaya Vidyalaya in competitive entrance exams such as the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), government medical colleges, and National Institutes of Technology (NITs), without any coaching.
