Winter break announced for schools by Delhi government from January 1 to 6

Delhi Schools Winter Break 2023-24: The Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi has issued a circular regarding the winter breaks in Delhi schools for session 2023-24 from January 1, 2024, to January 6, 2024, on 6 December 2023.

The circular issued by the DoE, Government of Delhi stated that the winter vacations in Delhi schools were usually for 15 days, but due to the rise in AIQ level of Delhi’s air, some portion of the winter vacations was announced early in November 2023 i.e. from November 9, 2023, to November 18, 2023. 

So, the Delhi government then directed the school authorities to adjust the number of holidays in winter vacation.

Further, the circular added that “all the heads of schools in Delhi are hereby directed to circulate the information with the students, teaching and non-teaching staff, stakeholders, parents, and other individuals via SMS, mass SMS, phone calls or by other suitable means of communications.

The rest of the circular issued on January 27, 2023, will remain the same, stated the circular issued on 6 December 2023 by the Directorate of Education, Delhi.
