Haryana Schools Winter Vacation From 1 January 2024, Check Details Here

Haryana Schools Winter Vacations Update: The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal, posted a notice on their official Twitter handle on 22 December 2023 regarding the school winter vacations for all the government and private schools in Haryana. 

As per the notice, all the government and private schools in Haryana will remain closed from 1 January 2024 to 15 January 2024. The winter vacations for the students will be for 15 days.

The Haryana schools are scheduled to reopen on 16 January 2024, Tuesday. 

The CMO also mentioned in the notification, “You are requested to ensure compliance with the above in all the schools under you”.

Why Haryana Schools Will Remain Closed From 1 to 15 January 2024?

As the nation is experiencing extreme cold in December 2023, the government is concerned for the student’s health and safety. Many states are witnessing intense cold waves in the past few weeks. The Government of Jharkhand has also announced winter vacation from 26 to 31 December 2023. 

In the northwest region of India, the minimum temperature recorded in December 2023 was between 4 to 8 degrees. Whereas, the eastern parts of India have experienced a minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees. 

The Indian Meteorological Department has also released a notice, that for the next five days, the northern and eastern parts of India will experience an intense cold wave. A warning has been issued.
