How to fill CDS 1 Application Form 2024 – Step by Step form filling guide

The UPSC has started the registration process for the CDS 1 examination 2024 from 20 December 2023. The candidates preparing for the CDS 1 exam 2024 can go through the step by step CDS application form-filling procedure.

Candidates can fill out the CDS 1 application form 2024 from the official website of UPSC @upsc.gov.in. The last date for filling the application form is 9 January 2023.

How To Fill CDS 1 Application Form 2024

The CDS 1 application form 2024 is divided into 2 parts i.e. part 1 and part 2:

• In part 1, candidates have to mention their basic details like their personal details, address details, educational qualifications, and selection of exam centres.
• Part 2 of the application form contains the payment of registration fees, uploading scanned images and signatures, checking the information, and signing the declaration form.

NOTE: Before starting part one of the CDS 1 application form 2024 candidates need to first register themselves on the OTR (ONE TIME REGISTRATION). UPSC has released a “one-time registration” form for aspirants, candidates have to register themselves on the platform to fill out any exam application form under UPSC.

• Enter your details like your name, father/mother’s name, mobile number, and email ID. 
• Fill out the captcha code and click on the submit button to move forward.
• Check all the details you have filled in and click on “I Agree” to move forward.
• Fill out the OTP that will be sent to your email and mobile number and verify the OTP.

Part 1- CDS 1 Application Form 2024

• Page 1: After successfully registering for the OTR for the UPSC exam 2024, the candidate is required to visit the official website of the UPSC @upsc.gov.in, Log in to the account by entering your email ID, mobile number, OTR ID and the OTP sent to your email account.
• Page 2: Now reset your password and click on the submit button to move forward.
• Page 3: The instruction page will open go to the latest notification panel to fill out the CDS 1 application form 2024.
• Page 4: Here you will find the CDS application form 2024, click on the part 1 application form.
• Page 5: Afterwards, candidates can fill out their CDS 1 registration form 2024 with all the necessary details on the registration page and verifying it then click on the “Continue” button.
• Page 6: You will be forwarded to another page, Enter your photo identity card details, specify if you hold a commercial pilot license issued by DGCA (India), and make preferences among IMA, NA, AFA and OTA academies to which you want to apply and click on continue.
• Page 7: Review all the entered information of CDS 1 application form 2024 and click ‘I Agree.’

NOTE: The registration ID will be regenrated. Make sure to write it down and click on the print slip to save the application for further procedure.

Part 2- CDS 1 Application Form 2024

Now you have successfully completed the part 1 registration of the CDS 1 application form 2024. Aspirants can now move to the part 2 registration:

• Page 1: Click on the part 2 registration form, “upload photo, sign & photo ID upload.”
• Page 2: Upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature and photo identity card as PDF. Images should not exceed 300 kb and must not be less than 20 kb in a PDF format.
• Page 3: Review the uploaded image and if you are not satisfied you can change it on the review platform and click on “continue.”
• Page 4: On the declaration part you have to select the examination centre and click on “I have read the declaration & agree.”

Application Fee

After completing the entire process of filling the CDS 1 application form 2024, the candidates are required to pay the registration fee for the exam to complete the application procedure.

The CDS 1 exam 2024 registration fees of the general category male candidates is Rs 200, whereas females, SC, and ST candidates do not have to pay the fee of the CDS 1 application form 2024.

NOTE: Candidates can make payments via net banking, debit/credit cards, or by depositing cash in any branch of SBI bank.

Important Points While Filling CDS 1 Application Form 2024

• Make sure you upload correct scanned documents. Any other format and sizes of the scanned images and signatures should not be accepted and immediately rejected by the authority.
• After the submission of the CDS 1 application form 2024, candidates are required to take a printout of the form for future use.
• Candidates who want to apply for the CDS 1 examination 2024 are first suggested to go through the eligibility criteria for the CDS 1, exam 2024 to avoid any kind of mistake in the application form that results in the failure in the submission of the application form for CDS 1 exam 2024.
• A correction window is available for adjustments within 7 days of “One Time Registration” (OTR).
• Withdrawal of the application is possible, but the application fee won’t be refunded.
