According to the News 18 authority, the student’s name is Ankesh Kevat, and he is a native of Nitanwas village, Sheopur, North Madhya Pradesh.
The reason why Ankesh arrived late was because of bad road conditions in his area and the examination hall allotted to him was the Higher Secondary School of Beerpur Tehsil headquarters which is 8 kilometers away from his home.
Due to heavy rain on 4 February 2024, the roads were filled with mud and there was water logging in many areas and it was difficult for him to reach the exam hall on time.
He traveled the route to appear for the exam by cycle and as there was no other means of travel he got late and missed the examination.
Even after crying and begging the exam center in charge and other staff members, no one allowed him to sit for the examination.
The student then left home after the center staff and police authority convinced him and told him the rules and regulations of conducting the exam.
As per the MPBSE rules, if a candidate is late by 15 minutes he will be allowed to sit for the examination however, as Ankesh was 30 minutes late he was barred from appearing for the exam.
In another case, 31 students failed to take the MP board class 10 exam due to the unavailability of the admit card for the Hindi examination on 5 February 2024.
